"..Your not suppost to be sorry when you yourself is the one that's hurt." she said, pausing after to admire how smart she just sounded.

He took a breath again.
"...sorry for dragging you into this..."

Difference prepared something mean, but decided not to say it. The unbalanced silence dragged on.

He took another breath.
"...where to next?"

Difference thought. "...How about that cat tribe on that island-place?" she almost squealed. "Well," she coughed. "'Cause, I always wanted to go there and stuff."

"We'd have to fly," He said, slowly.
"I can't go anywhere right now, can we rest?"

"Yeah." she responded.

He sat up, slowly, but quickly collapsed again as the pain spiked. Now he looked more dead than unconscious.

Down droped down on her knees next to him "You okay?" she asked.

He didn't answer, but his face contorted into a pained expression. He curled up in more fear than pain as the nightmares swept his mind.

Difference sat beside him, desperate for a change in scene.

Again the twists and turns of the nightmares curled around him, a thick black smog.
Everywhere it touched him, a trail of bright red blood was drawn, contrasting deeply with the monochromatic color scheme of the dream.
And when it stopped, he opened his eyes, surprised to see the dawn.

Difference twitched. She had fallen asleep beside Arch, in her gape of boredum. It had been cold at the time, so Difference found no other solution than to stay close to Arch for warmth. (SHIFTING, FORGOTTEN)

He noticed her, fighting the urge to react to his injury. He didn't want to move away, afraid she would awaken at the slightest motion.
He caught himself before he caressed her fur.

Not long after, Difference awoke. She yawned, and looked over at Arch. When she realized he was awake, she jumped away, surprised.

He got up, slowly, trying as best he could to look strong and proud as he shifted his weight to his less-shattered leg.
"Should we leave now?"
He carefully pulled his hat down.

"Sure" she breathed, shifting human.

He shifted, noticeably keeping the weight off of his worse leg. He motioned for her to get on.

She did as instructed, yawning in the process.

He lifted off, shakily. Once in the air, though, he was lithe and limber, soaring easily and minding his speed because of the new passenger. He made his way south.

After a while, she begun to feel dizzy. Gripping him tighter, she groaned.

He slowed down.
"Want to rest?" He said, not too eager to be back on land.

"No 'ts okay." she said.

He tilted his head but flew on, getting closer to the southern ocean and the island in the distance.

Difference almost smiled at the sight of the ocean, Can't wait for the rematch..
