Difference jumped up at the sight of Archaea's awakening, shifting human, she held back the erg to hug anything.

"Did you see that?" she coughed. "That was AWESOME!"

"...Huh?" He saw the bleeding girl in the sand, struggling to breathe.
"My gods, what have you done?" He rushed to her side and tried to help her stop the bleeding.

Difference shifted wolf and sat, watching. Her ears were down, embarrassed. "...She started it."

Archaea lifted the girl. "We need to find help."

Aria gazed up at the man who was helping her. Definitely not the kind of person she expected, but at least he was kind. Now that she was this close, she could definitely tell he was a demon. But it didn't matter much, she supposed.

Difference tilted her head.

"Where?" she coughed.

Aria pointed.

"Forward." He started to run but found it no use do to his injury. He shifted wings to lessen the weight and started off again into the desert.

Difference followed close behind them, though the desert sand spayed her wounds and slowed her down, she refused to be a burden.

Odd shapes began to appear on the horizon and were closing in, fast. Archaea reached a giant, crumbling stone door. Aria motioned to him to let her down, and she placed a hand on the door. After a moment, it slid slowly into the desert sand. Archaea picked her up again and took her inside, glancing behind him to see if Diff was still following.

She was. (short sentence fail)

The further they walked, the more rogues dressed in tattered clothes there were. They were all bright and happy until they saw her, bundled up tight and in the arms of a demon.
"She needs help!" Archaea shouted. One rouge headed further into the ruins and brought a doctor who rushed to Aria's side and barked at Archaea to set her down.

Difference watched from beside, saying nothing. Her coat was spayed with a mixture of blood and sand, and she begun to lick her wounds clean, knowing they'd get infected if she didn't.

"Wait over there!" Barked the doctor.
Archaea headed in the direction he'd pointed to and sat beside Difference.
"...this is the Ruins, a secret society in the desert, made up of outcasts, outlaws, and runaways."

"...mmm," she mused, spitting out the bitter taste of blood and dirt. Her body stung, but atleast she was free from infection now.

"They all came to get away from the downs of their tribes..." He sighed and gazed at Aria, worried.

"Oh so sad," she spat, (idk)

"And for peace." He spat back.

She glared at him. "Running away from home for peace? They should be fighting for peace."

"Study up on your history. Then you'll see."

"Stop living in the past." she growled, "That time is over."

"...those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it..."
Archaea looked at her.
"Don't you know what that means?"

"Does it matter?" she looked away. "I don't really care what happens to me, or to anybody really." she growled, looking up. "I've got one purpose in this whole god-d**n'd world and I've gotta do it. After that, I'm gone."

Archaea stared, stupefied.
"Of course... you're just a stubborn wolf..." He said, his head sinking into his hands.

"..Ha," she laughed. "Persistent demon."

"There." The doctor announced, approaching Archaea and Difference. "Now, where did you find her in such a condition?"
Archaea glanced at Difference.

She looked up at the doctor innocently. "When we were entering the territory, sir."
